Parents play a vital role in their child's education. By taking a few simple steps at home, you can help your child enjoy school more, improve their studying and homework skills and prepare for college. Nothing helps a child succeed like an involved parent. A little willingness from parents can work wonders, especially in the online classroom.
Monitor your child's progress (Parent/Guardian Account) Parent accounts are automatically created when a student account is created. After your student creates an account to sign up for classes, you will receive an email containing credentials for your parent account. You will be able to log in to your parent account and see your student's most current grade in their online course.
Support Academic Integrity Academic Integrity is one of our core values and one of the most important areas of focus at VirtualSC. Students with academic integrity make decisions based on ethics and values that will prepare them to be productive and ethical citizens. See our Academic Integrity Policy and Student Code of Conduct policies on our Guidelines & Policies page under the About Us menu item.
Communicate with teachers It is important to maintain regular positive communication with your child's VirtualSC teacher. It is important to let the VirtualSC teacher know if your child is struggling with the class or if your child is not going to meet a class deadline, so that the teacher can work with your child and understand their needs.
