Genius - VirtualSC’s Student Information System. Through this system, you can view student data, manage your registration and class enrollments, and view reports. Each franchise leader should have received their account information. If you have not received this information, please contact our office.
Video tutorial - Genius Overview
Moodle - The Learning Management System (LMS) that VirtualSC uses to host its virtual courses. Moodle is where your students and teachers will spend the majority of their time. Franchise leaders can view the most accurate information on students’ grades, login data, and assignments in Moodle.

Have you considered updating your policies and procedures to address full-time virtual students? Policies that provide details on attendance, plagiarism, and withdrawals will help your teachers and students to understand your district’s expectations and how you will handle these issues as they arise. You can view the VirtualSC policy and procedure and adapt as you deem necessary: VirtualSC Policy and Procedures.
To-Do Items/Reminders
- Submit your Franchise Teachers to our office by completing the following link: We will create their account and add them to the first part of their training, the online course.
- Submit your Course Request for fall 2020. Please remember only to submit the courses that you know you will need. Also, all courses must be taught by a certified teacher.
- Communicate with your students, counselors, and teachers the registration process, enrollment dates.
- Meet with your teachers to discuss sending out welcome letters, making phone calls/text to students, updating pacing guides, and preparing their classes for the start of the semester.

Admin Training
Franchise Leadership Meeting - Wednesday, July 22nd, 9:00 am - 10:30 am; 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Admin Training
Teachers should complete the online training course by July 28th to attend the next portion of the training on July 30th.
Onboarding Training (mandatory for all new teachers) - July 30th, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm or 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Teachers should sign up for their session: Onboarding Registration.
Digital Learning Day
On Wednesday, August 5th, our program will host a day of learning for Franchise Leaders, franchise teachers, School Counselors, school staff, and parents. We will have informative sessions for franchise teachers on how to engage students, providing quality feedback, and a course setup workshop, just to name a few.  Sessions of interest for School Counselors and other school staff include the 2020-21 school year update from VSC, and both beginner/refresher and advanced Dashboard training. Parents are also invited to attend the VirtualSC Open House session to learn more about how the program works, should they anticipate their student’s enrollment in a VSC course during the upcoming school year.
