2026-27 School Advisory Board
The goal of the VirtualSC School Advisory Board is to obtain direct feedback from School Counselors, Administrators and Teachers in order to improve and evolve the VirtualSC program to best serve the needs of students. Board members provide feedback on registration cycles, program policy and procedure, program flexibility, communication and overall program improvement and vision.

Jennifer Bellinger | 2026-2028 | Dr. Bellinger has worked with children and adolescents from pre-K through high school since 1990 and brings extensive experience as a trauma-informed school counselor. As her school’s Virtual School Lead Counselor, she also leads teams across multiple online learning platforms. A National Board Certified School Counselor and Global Career Development Facilitator, Dr. Bellinger is a School Counselor mentor and evaluator whose work has earned recognition as a Teacher of the Year Finalist, Breakfast of Champions honoree, and numerous Staff of the Month awards. She holds certifications in PREPARE/ENRICH, Psychological First Aid, and Disaster Mental Health, and serves on the Southern Regional Education Board’s Crisis Recovery Network for the Southeast. Her professional interests include trauma and neurobiology, and she remains active in various professional organizations. Dr. Bellinger strives to use her expertise to strengthen systems of support and help students build the skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. |

Alicia Dickerson | 2025-2027 | Alicia Dickerson is an experienced educator with more than 25 years of service in Lexington School District Two. She is currently the Principal at Cyril B Busbee Creative Arts Academy. Ms. Dickerson has worked with students and families across several schools, including as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Brookland-Cayce High and as an English teacher for several middle and high schools in the district. A graduate of Lexington Two schools, Ms. Dickerson has a bachelor’s degree from Newberry College, a master’s degree in education from Capella University, and is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at Gardner-Webb University. Her focus is on building relationships, setting high expectations, and supporting students in and out of the classroom. |

LaWanda Moorer | 2025-2027 | LaWanda Moorer obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Claflin University and a Master of Education in School Counseling and Development from Winthrop University. LaWanda has served as a School Counselor at Gaffney High School for 9 years and was named Teacher of the Year in 2022. With a deep passion for fostering sustainable growth, self-awareness, and a love of learning among youth, she has dedicated her career to ensuring that all students have the resources and support needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Her mission is to identify barriers to success and collaborate with key stakeholders to promote accessibility, equity, and meaningful opportunities for every student. |

Michelle Stephens | 2025-2027 | Michelle Stephens has been working in education for over 13 years. She started her journey as the first Virtual Learning Lab Facilitator in her school district. Michelle is currently the Virtual Learning Manager at Dacusville Middle School in the Upstate and serves as the Success Coach for the School District of Pickens County's 360 Academy, a new hybrid program in virtual learning at the middle school level. |

L’Adair Blake Sterling | 2025-2027 | Dr. L'Adair Blake Sterling is a dedicated educator, leader, and advocate with over 23 years of experience in the field of education. Guided by her mantra, "Believe in them until they believe in themselves," she has devoted her career to empowering students, particularly those with exceptional needs, to reach their fullest potential. Dr. Sterling earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Erskine College before pursuing a Master's degree in Teaching from Converse College. She furthered her expertise in educational leadership by obtaining both an Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree and a Doctorate (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership. Her dissertation, "An Examination of College and Career Readiness for the High School Exceptional Student in South Carolina," reflects her commitment to ensuring all students, regardless of ability, are equipped for success beyond the classroom. Beginning her career as a special needs teacher, Dr. Sterling cultivated a passion for supporting diverse learners, shaping individualized instruction, and fostering inclusive educational environments. She now serves as an Assistant Principal in the Greenville County School District, where she continues to lead with compassion, innovation, and a steadfast belief in every student's potential. |

Kevin Flannery | 2026-2028 | Kevin Flannery serves as VirtualSC’s CTE Lead Teacher and brings over a decade of educational experience to the role. He believes learning is a lifelong journey, and that students need to know it is alright to make small mistakes as long as they grow from them. As an integral part of the CTE team, Kevin contributes frequently to curriculum projects, helping ensure that VirtualSC’s courses continue to meet the needs of all learners |

Kimberly Grace-Hogan | 2026-2028 | Kimberly has over a decade of experience in comprehensive school counseling, serving students across elementary, middle, and high school settings in South Carolina and throughout the United States. She has worked in schools ranging from 2A to 5A, supporting students in academic, social-emotional, and postsecondary planning, and has led programs that are adaptable, equitable, and student-centered. Internationally, Kimberly worked with SMIC Private School in Shanghai, China, where I co-authored the school’s Child Protection Policy and facilitated its implementation for staff at both the Shanghai and Beijing campuses, ensuring consistent safeguarding standards. Here in the United States, most recently, Kimberly has had the pleasure of serving as Director of School Counseling, leading comprehensive counseling services, program development, and staff support initiatives. Kimberly is committed to building strong relationships, advocating for equitable access to opportunities, and helping students thrive academically and personally. |

Tiasha Madden | 2026-2028 | Tiasha is a school counselor at Laurens District 55 High School. She has over a decade of experience in education as a math, science, and AVID lead teacher. Tiasha is committed to lifelong learning and creating ways to support students to achieve their educational and postsecondary goals. Tiasha is also a licensed professional counselor associate. |

Sandra Zeller | 2025-2027 | Sandy Zeller has been in public school education for 16 years and is currently a Media Specialist at North Augusta High School in Aiken County. She is also a VirtualSC Franchise Teacher, where she has taught for over 8 years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of North Florida and a master's degree in library media from the University of West Alabama. Prior to public education, Mrs. Zeller worked for Bank of America as a Systems Project Manager and trainer. She was recognized as State Franchise Virtual Teacher of the Year in 2020 and is currently serving as lead virtual teacher for Aiken County. Mrs. Zeller is passionate not only about the opportunities virtual courses provide to students but also working with the state to ensure the programs that are in place promote student success. |

William Robinson | 2026-2028 | As an experienced educational leader, William Robinson serves as Principal of Midlands Middle College, where he oversees instructional leadership, federal programs, budgeting, and innovative scheduling models with a strong emphasis on dual enrollment and flexible learning opportunities. William facilitates statewide instructional frameworks such as SCLead and Classroom Mosaic, supporting continuous improvement in teaching and learning across diverse educational environments. A National Board Certified Teacher and SC 4.0 Certified Observer, William brings extensive experience in instructional supervision, student support systems, and school operations. With a focus on student‑centered decision‑making and instructional quality, their leadership aligns closely with VirtualSC’s mission to expand access to high‑quality virtual and blended learning opportunities for students across South Carolina. |

Cheryl Stout | 2026-2027 | Cheryl Stout has been a CTE educator for eighteen years and has had the pleasure of teaching in Greenville County and Anderson District One. Currently, Pendleton High School in Anderson District 4 is Cheryl’s brick-and-mortar home and continues to serve students across the state through VirtualSC. Cheryl has a lifelong passion for learning and is working toward a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Valdosta State University. Cheryl lives in Anderson County near Lake Hartwell and enjoys spending free time outdoors with family and friends. |

Mandy Wilson | 2025-2027 | Mandy Wilson is currently a School Counselor at Heron Virtual Academy. She attended University of South Carolina, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Elementary Education. She also attended Salem College where she earned a Master of Education in School Counseling. This is her 11th year as a high school counselor. |
